Need some help, might be moving to hollingdean

Hi, first time I posted here, I'm just looking for some advice, I live in Ditchling road with husband and son, due to financial difficulties we live in just a one bedroom but use the bidding system run by the council.

Anyway we have used this system for so long we were beginning to loose hop when the council rang us up saying we are 3rd in line to view a flat, we were so pleased the flat is in merevale hollingdean and is two bedroom.

The only thing I'm not sure about is although I live in a one bedroom I'm lucky to have a garden if I moved I would have to leave this behind, ofcourse I take my son out lots but alot of times it is good just to have one.

Another thing is that I don't know this area well, People say it is good but I just dont know I am very unsure.

Any advice?

Hi Lisa, nice to hear from you, I happen to live in Hollingdean and have done for some time, I like it here, it's very community orientated and families are usually well catered for. There is a great children centre, nursery and community centre, the schools are also doing really well and location wise you can't go that wrong it's not too central but central enough if you know what I mean! If you move here send me a message I would be happy to meet you in the community cafe and let you know what's going on in the area. Hope it all goes well for you xx
