school funding for special needs 3-19years

Hi all, I am interested in finding parents and carers in Brighton and Hove that have experience of the school funding of places through the Local Education Authority, for those children who are statemented and have special needs. I know it has been an ongiong discussion in the local media and I am wanting to know how have others managed to cope through the long and tiresome procedure and tribunal? Who did you seek help from and who locally helped you along the journey? Are you a parent fighting for your child's right of a education?
