Simple Pleasures
‘Mid-morning, the sun blazes through the lounge window and the damp left from the early dew glistens on the buds of the newly released growth that barely shows a green coloured blemish.
Staring into the bluish of a morning sky and watching the array of birds and hearing a melodic chirping in a silent breeze that blows.
As the tiny blue tit takes to flight, the branch that he neatly perched leaps. The dew drops fly from his wings into tiny pearls slowly to the ground.'
No this was not a dream or a fantasy wish, this was a Tuesday morning after a night of excruciating pain that twisted and maimed a contort muscular frame for a fair few hours. The body can take so much and the brain remembers it so well! How can you feel like you have an alien trying to control your insides and involuntary movements take over what control you thought you had left? How can pain be so distressing and inflict such abuse and disable one's body in a vicious cycle of disturbance?
Morning awakens an equilibrium has dawned. "The simple pleasures in life are always the best".
"If only the sunshine that abounds the walls of the room I sit, could view such simplicity"!
