Do you believe in fairies?
After a few hours of travelling in a car with knees up to our chins and bags full of food and beverages to last us our stay for a few days away, the small boot of a friend's car started to become that of a magicians showcase.
After setting into our new home and getting the kettle on for a long awaited cup of tea. The bags and suitcases started to crowd the living area of our new abode. Having thought that we had got all our goodies into the room, next to arrive were a small child's bicycle, a scooter, footballs, and a buggy!
How on earth did they get all that lot in a hatch back? I was amazed that not a thing had been forgotten. Have you heard the saying "Everything but the kitchen sink", well this beat it hands down.
Now holding a warm mug and sipping the nectar of a fresh brew, I thought I was about to choke!
My friend's sister had clambered onto the sofa with a long string; I watched wondering what she was doing?
Well I never, fairy lights! Clear bulb fairy lights, one would associate with a Christian Christmas celebration. But oh, not this time. They adorn the newly fitted spot lamps on a holiday bungalow.
An amazing and jaw dropping moment, I could not stop giggling to myself.
Here I was with friends for a few days respite care during Easter school holidays and the magic of fairies had become a reality. As I regained my composure I glimpsed a long red candle held in a tall standing stick which was now placed central to the dining table, lit it shone so bright.
My experience of fairies had really been enlightened and I had to ask myself, do you believe in fairies?
I do!
