Feeling very proud to day as my oldest takes part in the kids mini marathon.

They are running one mile east from the Peace Statue to just past the Palace Pier - feeling so chuffed that he is doing it. Makes me feel guilty that I'm not getting off my fat backside and doing it with him, but what's the point of having kids and doing all the work yourself?

And we found out last week that it will be a nightmare to get transport to the start line, so good luck to anyone running today; your first challenge may well be actually getting there in the first place!
