Why don't you GET INVOLVED!
12th Nov 2009
For the next nine months there will be a campaign to encourage people to get involved in their local community and local politics.
The Get Involved campaign, run in partnership with The Brighton and Hove Council, Sussex Police, NHS Brighton & Hove, East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service and other local community and voluntary sector organisations will have its launch event at Hove Town Hall on Saturday 21st of November from 10am to 5pm.
On the day there will be:
- Information stalls to showcase the range of services, organisations and activities available in the city.
- Video screenings from the Have Your Say campervan. This will travel around the city in the run up to the event to getyour views on the issues affecting Brighton & Hove. So, keep an eye out while walking around town.
- A Question Time chaired by newsreader Nicholas Owen, 3.30pm - 5pm. This will give residents the chance to question a panel of councillors and representatives from the police, health service and community sector. There will also be a Question Time for young people from 11.30am-1pm, which you can get more information about in our Young People's Question Time article.
- The opportunity for young people to speed meet their local councillor, from 2pm.
If you would like to submit a question or find out more about the campaign, go to the Brighton and Hove councils ‘Get Involved Campaign' page.
