Voting is now open for the first of 13 Public Service Award categories.
School Support Champion is an award for individuals who work in a supporting role at any school (infant, junior, primary, secondary, sixth form and special schools) across the city. This could be a teaching assistant, school caretaker, admin staff, midday supervisor, parent support supervisor, lab & IT technician - in fact anyone who is working in a supporting role for children and young people. It doesn't however include teachers and head teachers, they should be nominated for the city’s ‘Public Servant’ award category.
There are four nominees to choose from and you can read information and watch short videos about each of them on the Brighton & Hove City Council website now.
The award ceremony will take place on 15 November and will be hosted by the internationally renowned British sport star, Sally Gunnell OBE.
