School Meal Competition
Budding young cooks and food lovers are invited to submit their favourite dishes as part of a recipe competition launched by Brighton & Hove City Council's healthy schools team.
The competition aims to encourage parents and pupils to become more involved in school meals and will see the winning dish on school menus across the city throughout the autumn. The winning dish will be served from October for 12 weeks.
Entries have to be submitted by 31st March along with a note explaining why entrants think their particular dish deserves to win. The move is in response to feedback from Brighton & Hove Parents Forum where parents expressed a desire to become more involved in school meals.
Submit a recipe for your favourite dish and tell us why you think we should include it to schoolmeals@brighton-hove.gov.uk or via the courier from your school - Recipe Competition, School Meals Team, Kings House. The closing date is 31 March 2010.
