Thursday 3rd December 2009 is the UN's annual International Day of Disabled People, a day dedicated to the empowerment of people with disabilities. 

The Federation of Disabled People, a local charity committed to ensuring the right to independence and dignity of all disabled people, has partnered up with the Brighton and Hove Council and NHS Brighton and Hove to hold an event to celebrate this day.

The event will be held at the Brighton Dome from 3:30pm to 8:30pm and will be full of information about how disabled people can get involved in their community, including a showcase of the work by different community organisations.  Then to end the day, there will be a fantastic program of entertainment.

All are welcome, not just people with Disabilities so come down, have fun, and maybe you will learn something.
