Help With School Apps
We have heard from many parents applying for a school place how difficult and complicated the process and application can be. As this is the time when many parents are currently or soon will be in the middle of this process we thought we would have a look around to see what help there is out there for you.
We have found a very helpful booklet from ACE (Advisory Centre for Education) called 'Applying for school', it contains a brake-down of the process that needs to be followed as well as some really helpful tips to support you through the process, it can be downloaded below. It includes some of the following;
- application related definitions
- when to start the process
- choosing a school
- the different types of schools
- checking the admissions rules
- what to do if you are unsuccessful
- how else to find help/more information.
You may also want to check out some of the following links which have some helpful information as well;

It would be great if you could let us know if you found any of this information helpful and we could create a permanent page on the website to help parents, also if you have found any of resources helpful please let us know so we can inform other parents about them too.
