Brighton & Hove City Council is calling on residents to take advantage of a health and well-being event in Brighton on Saturday 24 July from 11am to 3pm. ‘Make it Happen' has been organised by the Brighton & Hove Local Involvement Network (LINk) at the Lighthouse, 28 Kensington Street.

Its focus will be on giving you advice and tips on feeling good about yourself by keeping your mind and body active. There will be a wide range of activities and hobbies to try out, including:

  • alternative remedies like massage and Tai Chi
  • craft activities and nail art
  • Nintendo Wii Fit.

There's face painting for your children, and plenty of advice on health problems like smoking, high blood pressure and alcohol awareness.

LINk is an independent network that gives local people a stronger voice in health and social care. So the event is also a chance for you to say what you think of local health and social care services and talk about your experiences of them.
