The redevelopment of the Level is about to start.  The Level is one of Brighton's most central parks and is on most major bus routes, so most of us parent's have taken our kids there from time to time.  Over the years there have been problems and the level has started to look a bit unloved, but thanks to a large grant, it set to be given a complete face-lift.

There will be some exciting changes when complete, including a new ‘World Class' skate park and new play equipment for children of all ages.

But the first step is to speak to as many of the park's users to get their views on the redevelopment.

Below are the three consultation events coming up during the half-term holiday:

  • Saturday 24 October, 6pm - 8pm. There will also be activities running as part of the White Night events.
  • Wednesday 28 October, 1pm - 5pm. The Play Bus will be visiting the park during these times.
  • Saturday 31 October, 2pm - 5pm.The Friends of The Level will be running aHalloween themed event from 3pm until 6pm.

If you can't attend one of these events or you are interested in being involved you can email the Sports & Leisure team.

There is also a plan to secure funds to allow for restoration to some of the historic features in the Level, through the Park for People Fund run by the Heritage Lottery.  We will tell you more as soon as we hear anything or you can keep checking the Friends of the Level website for news.
