Half Term Fun at the Royal Pavilion & Museums

Come along to Brighton Museum & Art Gallery this Autumn half term to experience the wonderful Diwali celebrations. Have your hands hennaed, try out your dancing skills and listen to some wonderful music.  You could meet some scary and fascinating mega beasts at the Booth Museum including the world's largest species of Tarantula! or visit Hove Museum to see the Picturing Stories exhibition and do some wonderful drawings with our resident artist.

Picturing Stories - 7 October 2010 to 1 March 2011

Hove Museum & Art Gallery

Picturing Stories is a family-friendly exhibition of narrative paintings from Brighton & Hove Museums' Fine Art collection that explores relationships between words and images.  Using captivating oil paintings, this exhibition explores the variety of ways in which visual images can illustrate and inspire storytelling.  Designed to appeal to families, Picturing Stories is the ideal way to introduce children of all ages to a paintings exhibition.

Diwali Celebrations - Sunday 24 October

Wear a sari, have your hands hennaed, try out your dancing skills and discover the story of Rama and Sita. These and many more activities will be taking place to celebrate Diwali. In conjunction with the Hindu Women's Group.

The Big Draw - Monday 25, Tuesday 26, Thursday 28 & Friday 29 October

Hove Museum

Come and be part of The Big Draw by telling stories through drawing.  You don't have to be an expert at drawing, just come along and draw with our artist.

Mega Beasts - Wednesday 27 October

Booth Museum

Meet giant lizards and snakes as well as the world's largest species of Tarantula!

£5.50 per person, book in advance. All children must be accompanied by a paying adult.

A £1.50 booking fee may apply to some events.

Tickets cannot be reserved without payment. Please book early as an event may be cancelled if too few tickets have been sold.

Please note:
At the Early Years and Families events all children must be accompanied by their parent or guardian.  At the activities for children 8 years and over children will be under the supervision of a tutor.
