Budding young artists in Brighton & Hove are digging out their paints and crayons to take part in year's City in Bloom poster competition. Sponsored by The Regency Restaurant, Regency Square.

Children all over the city are being invited to create an eye catching floral poster to promote this year's competitions. The theme for this year's City in Bloom is "Go Blooming Wild!" which is to celebrate the fact that 2010 is the U.N year of international biodiversity.

There are some great prizes to be won and the overall winner will receive the Zeus Trophy and have their work displayed all over Brighton & Hove.

Anyone, aged 18 and under can enter - just design your poster on A4 or A3 paper.

Do not write any words on the design, but please ensure your name, age, address and if applicable, your school and teacher's name is on the back.

Winners will be chosen in four age groups - up to 7 years old, 8 - 10, 11 - 15, and 16 - 18.

You do not need an entry form, just send your work to Simon Allen at City in Bloom, Brighton & Hove City Council, Hollingdean Depot, Upper Hollingdean, Brighton BN1 7GA. The closing date is Friday 26 February.

For more information, contact Simon on (01273) 292217.
