Final List of 22 Parks choosen for the Playbuilder Project

We told you recently about the 1.1 million that was won by Brighton and Hove to update some of the city's parks.  The final list has been voted on and agreed at the last cabinet meeting on April 23rd.   

As part of the National Play Strategy the cash will be used to refurbish 22 sites around our city to make them more adventurous for children that are 8 - 13 over the next two financial years.  Children and residents will be included in the planning of the changes to their local park

There is a new web page dedicated to this project called Playbuilder that will give you the most up to date information about the work as it goes on.

It has also been announced that seven other areas have lined up funding from other sources and will be refurbished as well:  The Level, Tarnerland Park, Saunders Park, Knoll Recreation Ground, Newhaven Street, St Ann's Well Gardens and Rottingdean Field.

The attached document is the list of proposed sites that was considered and how the decisions were made as to which sites would receive the Playbuilder funding.
