Culture for Kids Enquiry
Brighton & Hove City Council has set up a cross-party inquiry to look at the cultural provision for children and young people in the city.
Established by the Council’s Culture, Tourism and Enterprise Overview and Scrutiny Committee members of the Panel are Councillor Melanie Davis, Councillor Rachel Fryer, and Councillor Carol Theobald.
The panel will being looking at cultural services for children and young people across the city whether they are provided the council, businesses or the voluntary and community sector.
The panel will be focusing on those areas where there might be gaps in provision, and identifying areas of good practice with a view to making recommendations for the future of cultural services for children and young people in the city.
The Panel plans to hold public meetings on:
March 31st at 4.30pm
April 28th at 11.00am
May 19th at 11.00am
June 30th at 4.30pm

The move comes just ahead of the city’s Children’s Festival, which takes place between April 12 and 18.
