Child Safety Week 2009
Child Accident Prevention Trust (CAPT) is an organisation here in the UK devoted to reducing the numbers of deaths and injuries in children and young people. Child Safety Week is their nationwide community education campaign.
Child Safety Week, June 22 - 28th 2009 is their nationwide community education campaign to highlight the dangers in everyday life to children and young people and how they can be prevented.
According to the CAPT website, over 2,000 children and young people are taken to hospital and around 6 of those die due to accidents. They believe that most of these accidents can be prevented by making small changes around the house and by teaching your children to be diligent to any hazards around them.
We have not heard about any specific events around Brighton for Child Safety Week, but we will update our events calendar with any we do hear about.
In honour of Child Safety week we have brought together a few different sites dedicated to Child Safety.
