The Subject of the meeting is the plans by the teachers union and the head teachers association to boycott the key stage 3 SATs test this year. Ballot papers for the action are on there way to members of the organisations now.

We will hear from Alan Gibbons the children's author, Kevin Courtney Deputy General Secretary of the NUT and David Pratt from the NAHT executive.

We will be talking about why the decision to ballot on the boycott SATs has been taken and looking at what forms of assessment would better benefit primary children. We are very interested to hear the views of parents of prmairy children.

Please see attached poster for the event and come and join us if this is of interest to you.
