Moulescoomb Primary Harvest Festival
Moulsecoomb Primary has been organising a fresh produce Harvest Festival for the past 3 years and there isn't a can of food in sight!
The extensive and award-winning school grounds have been planted with thousands of bulbs, flowers, woodland and hedgerow trees, an orchard and raised vegetable beds, so outdoor learning plays an important part of the school ethos and a festival to celebrate food was a natural progression.
Students will harvest and cook crops of all kinds from the school allotment and nearby growing project, Moulescoomb Forest Garden. Some parents help with the cooking and the resulting meal is served for free to all families at the end of the school day!
