Discussion of the Month
This month someone asks Church this Christmas?
Did You Know?
That Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer the ninth reindeer, was invented in 1939, over 100 years after the other reindeer that pull Santa's sleigh.
Robert L. May, a copy writer for the American department store, Montgomery Ward, wrote the poem to help increase business for the store at Christmastime. The character Rudolph however had been invented before the poem for May's daughter Barbara as a way to explain the true meaning of Christmas and why her mother was different from other mothers as she was dying of cancer. When the executives of the store asked employees to come up with a new Christmas character to promote the store, May told them about Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and the rest was history.

Do you enjoy our monthly e-newsletter? Would you like to see it bigger and better? Not counting our bloggers, there are only a few people volunteering their time to write all the articles on the e-newsletter and to help with the regular maintenance needed on the website. If you have a few hours to spare a month, we could use your help.
Writing and websites not your thing?
Well, we could use help in the planning and staffing of events or in helping us continue our work serving the parents and families of Brighton and Hove.
We are a friendly group that believes that you can have fun and still help others!
If you are interested in helping us or would just like to hear more about the Brighton and Hove Parents' Forum, take the time to ring Tasha our Development Worker on 01273 294391 or Andrew our chair on 07758008628 or send us an email.
Next month.............
There will be some new exciting changes to the Brighton and Hove Parents Forum website. We hope you like them and can't wait for our next e-newsletter.
