December 2008

December 2008
Here we come a-wassailing
Among the leaves so green,
Here we come a-wand'ring
So fair to be seen.
Love and joy come to you,
And to you your wassail, too,
And God bless you, and send you
A Happy New Year,
And God send you a Happy New Year.
Christmas
"Wassail" is an old English word for a toast similar to "Good Health" and it is also the content of the glass or goblet which was usually spiced or mulled wine or ale. So, we raise our cups to you and wish you Good Health and happiness in the coming year.
Hello Everyone and Welcome to our December Newsletter!
We have been working very hard recently getting ready for some exciting changes to our website and hope you enjoy them.
Consultations
As part of the work we do at the Parents' forum we are now going to be doing some on-line consultations for the CYPT. We are very excited about how more parents will be able to easily get their views to the people that make decisions about services for our families. We have been asked to be involved with several new consultations in the New Year, and the best part is you can get more actively involved without leaving your home.
Our First On-line Consultation
Our first On-line Survey is concerning the proposed School Holidays for 2010 - 2011. Yes it is a few school years away, but as most of us have experienced some difficulty with the changes in School Holidays this year this is a great opportunity to have your say!

As part of our preparation for on-line consultations we ran a contest to win 4 tickets to the Komedia Comedy Club 4 Kids. To have a chance to win you just had to fill out our Event Survey for our 3rd Annual Autumn Free Family Funday at the Funplex. We are happy to announce the winner.

Children's Consultation from our last Event
Children on 29.10.08
We promised them and here they are. The results of the Children's Consultation have been posted. We loved the kids responses as they have such an interesting view of the world.

The CYPP Document Consultation
Unfortuntely with a document the size and importance of the Children and Young People's Plan sometimes it takes a little while to pull all of the information together. We are expecting the draft document any time now so please keep checking our new consultation section. It will be posted as soon as we receive it and we will be having a draw for one respondent to win a prize.
