This board is a strategic forum for consideration of policy matters and with the delegated authority for decision making regarding the Trust. The board comprises of voting members, namely:

• Elected councillors from the Children, Families and Schools Sub-Committee
  
• Non-executive board members of the Primary Care Trust

and non-voting members, namely:

• South Downs Health NHS Trust
• Brighton & Sussex University Hospitals Trust
• a non-executive member of the Sussex Police Authority
• representatives of the voluntary and community sector
• two parent representatives
• two young people representatives
