Child Poverty Consultation
Take part in the child poverty consultation before Wednesday 19th October and tell the council and other local agencies how they should tackle child poverty in the city.
The council has worked with agencies and voluntary sector groups across the city to complete a child poverty needs assessment and now have opened a consultation on ways in which child poverty could be reduced.
They want your thoughts on what the biggest problems facing families in poverty are both in terms of day to day pressures and in the longer term. Say what they think would change things for the better, both for parents and carers and for children and young people.
The Brighton & Hove Strategic Partnership and the council’s cabinet will consider the findings of the consultation and formally agree a strategy to reduce child poverty in the city in the new year.
If you have any queries or require more information about the consultation please contact Sarah Colombo at sarah.colombo@brighton-hove.gov.uk or tel 01273 294218.
